Wha - Electronic music, Em 5. My 23rd album. - containing a single monumental piece - sourced originally from a set of Tubular Bells.
A big reorganization of my music research interests defined my music into dedicated sets of Albums. This way things of a kin got heard together - as one type of album or another - by Genre - or Tranche as I styled them. In this Case 'Electronic music'. - Music taking a long processing detour from an acoustic source.
This my first real epic at one hour seven minutes, and it never repeats itself. The technique I was refining here I call ‘Asymmetric Phasing,’ where two phases are run through the sound source, to produce an irregular wave shape in the phasing. The result is that the arc of declination and rise is a slightly or markedly different shape each time. Despite the high Rh Catalogue number I think it’s really quite an early piece. The effect here is greater than the sum of its parts and I invite people to enjoy the constantly changing patterns of distortion. It is one of my favourite pieces.
My 19th to 26th albums - collect together the first eight dedicated Em Albums in a block - one of 5 blocks, placed like books on a shelf, in a Group - containing 27 Albums in All. This is the First music - a foundation to build on. That whole publishing project I called 'Blue Cherry' after a friend.
